My client is a national manufacturing company, due to business growth, they are now looking to recruit a Development Designer to join the on a full-time permanent business.
The Role:
As a VM/POS Developer your core responsibility will be delivering various Retail VM/POS Development & Design campaigns.
You will be integral in designs and creative solutions but also perhaps adaptions and artworks as you strengthen the relationships with brands.
The role will require you to show off your design, multi-media skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Excellent SolidWorks CAD skills
Suitably qualified or relevant manufacturing background
Strong engineering problem solving skills
Enthusiastic, confident and personable
Excellent numeracy skills
Excellent MS Office skills including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Full driving license
Other experience in 2D CAD packages is advantageous
Key roles and responsibilities as a VM Developer:
CAD design/development of VM/POS displays, components & packaging from concept through to volume production
Working with internal departments and suppliers to provide engineering design and problem-solving activities
Creation and management of supporting development documentation
Generation and presentation of project status reports
Supporting PM/AMs on client calls and meetings on design ideas and concepts
Development of hand calculations and spreadsheets to support product development
Assisting and advising on prototype build & manufacture
