Retail Designer

Purpose of Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative retail designer with a minimum of 1-2 years experience to work as part of a small in-house design team. The successful applicant will be required to support the senior design team working across a broad range creative disciplines designing food convenience retail stores across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to see creative concept designs brought to life within the retail environment. As part of the role the designer will be expected to help to create internal store layouts, design packages, 3D concepts, and pitch presentations. It is essential the candidate has proven experience of 3D Vectorworks and Adobe Illustrator. The designer will support the team to maintain and update our 3D model library and produce designs following our Store Design Guidelines. There will also be opportunity work across other design disciplines supporting with retail graphics, in-store POS and artwork. Any experience in graphic design would be beneficial but not essential. This is a great opportunity for a creative junior designer with a passion for retail to gain broader experience across a variety of design disciplines.
Produce quality internal / external elevations according to Store Design Guidelines
Support the senior design team with creation 2D/3D design concepts
Proficient in 3D Vectorswork modelling to create quality internal store renders.
Assist with look and feel and pitch presentations
Maintain the store design 2D & 3D on line model library
Support the team with maintaining and updating the Store Design Guidelines
Assist with retail graphic design and layouts
Support the graphic design team with design & artwork as required
Drive store innovation with a good understanding of competition and trends

Qualifications
· Design Qualification/ Degree or Relevant experience
Experience
· Minimum of 1-2 years experience working within the retail design sector
(in-house or agency)
· Experience in food retail preferable but not essential
· Some experience with graphic design, retail graphics, artwork production
Skills
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
· Proficient in 2D / 3D Vectorsworks
· Ability to create quality 3D renders
· Competent in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
· Good freehand sketch ability
· Ability to present design ideas competently
· Good organisational and time management skills
· A good eye for detail
