Glue Operator / Gluing Operator – Packaging
Location: Aylesford

Company: A global leading packaging manufacturer.
Role: The successful applicant will be experienced in the operation of various, gluing machines, be capable of producing high quality packaging work. Must be willing to work on a rotational shift pattern which includes nights.
Responsibilities
* Producing finished cartons of various complexity, styles and materials across a range of equipment, both efficiently and to a high degree of quality
* General machine maintenance
* Advising Team Leader(s) of any consumable stock requirements
* Ensuring machine crew are aware of their duties and are monitored accordingly
* Ensuring all safe systems of work and standard operating procedures are always adhered to in health & safety, production and quality, as set out by the company
* Maximise efficiencies and maintain optimum speeds for the machine, while ensuring the health & safety of the assistants is not compromised
* Any other duties that can be reasonably expected of the role
Requirements:
* Good knowledge & experience of carton construction
* Experience operating folding gluing machines, including glue detection and code reader QA systems
* Experience running Bobst and Heidelberg – Star Fold & Diana
* Experience of working within the packaging sector
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work under strict timescales
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
* Organised, methodical and logical approach to work
* Able to show a high degree of initiative and flexibility
