We are working with a leading exhibition specialist who are now looking to increase their team with a new role Head of Client Operations.

This role is fast paced hands on leading from the front and ideally you will have knowledge of the exhibition industry. Candidates will need to be totally organised have bags of common sense and also a sense of urgency.

Candidates will need to be technically and commercially minded and have strong leadership skills.

No two days will be the same and it will include leading a small team and guiding Managers to keep each and every project running on time and ensuring that every member of staff  have completed all of their tasks to ensure delivery and everything connected to the exhibition stands are ready and on time.

Working to both timeline and budget management

Deadlines and attention to detail in this business are key and essential there is no room for error so part of this role is to make sure every eventuality is covered. Ensure each show is built to the correct dimensions e.g. stands, aisles, features Every part of the stand electric water carpets to be there, all parts checked so there are no parts missing and everything runs smoothly. Keep abreast of any legislation changes that can affect the organising of exhibitions and communicate this to exhibitors and contractors Also key areas are to make sure all subcontractors have been booked and ready to start, hotels have been booked on the correct days to ensure no mishap which can be costly. FLT are booked on the day before so when everyone arrives on site it’s waiting for them and there are no hold ups. Total project management as well, customer care with the client responding to changes and last minute requirements and getting things sorted. Making sure you team have checked and double checked and all the correct information is passed on so there are no hiccups. Part of the role is also the finance side so ensuring each project is priced and invoiced correctly which is all done using Xero package.

The company CRM system is Sharepoint.

Experience working to both timeline and budget management Exhibition experience Car owner driver Able to build a trusting rapport with each client Relationship management P & L experience managing budgets and costs Organisational skills are essential as well as multitasking Commercially managing a team Logistics skills – this role requires significant logistics planning and management, so the ability to make decisions about several logistical elements of an event is essential for exhibition for each project Flexibility is also essential due to the industry and requirement of the business which can include weekend working.
