Salary : £25000 – £28000/annum

Skipton based multi-disciplinary rural development and design consultancy are seeking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their busy design team which is made up of Architects, Consultants, Planners and Landscape Architects

You must be able to demonstrate excellent design skills alongside strong communication. You will also need a minimum of 12 months experience and a sound working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe design packages is essential.

We cover a diverse range of projects across the UK for a variety of clients, with many sites located within some of the most breathtaking locations. Projects range from new exemplar country houses, design and delivery of mixed-use residential developments, various new leisure facilities, historic landscapes and day visitor attractions.

You will be working as part of fantastic interdisciplinary team of design and consultancy specialists. You will have the chance to work across a variety of projects and be responsible for the delivery of a range of outputs including:

Producing design drawings and models;
Write design specifications and schedules;
Attend client and other project meetings as required;
Help lead the design of projects where you are allocated this role;
Liaise with other members of the wider Rural Solutions team as well as other design and construction professionals; and assemble project presentation material.

The successful Senior Architectural Assistant will ideally have the following:

Excellent designer with very good hand-drawing skills;
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture;
Good AutoCAD skills;
Strong knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat;
Proficient in SketchUp; and
Be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team.
