My Client is a top design and build contractor based all around the UK, known for a range of huge projects from £1-20 million.

Due to an increase in sites they are looking to expand their commercial team and introduce a Design Manager to the company.

With plenty of opportunity for progression, the client in question is passionate in helping their employees grow!

Responsibilities

Managing the development of contractor design throughout the project
Coordinate external contractors with the clients Design team
Attendance of Chair Co-ordination Meetings, Subcontractor Design Meetings and any other such meetings as necessary
Development and finalisation of a range of works packages
Ensure the external contractor's elements of the project are developed in accordance with the project specifications
Manage and co-ordinate sub-contractors works packages and design information flow
Responsible for contract administration for the contractor's design portion packages
Assist in providing monthly internal and external reports on site performance covering design development, risk and procurement / off site manufacture.
Assist the commercial team with subcontract issues and any divergence from the tendered bid
Ensuring strict adherence to all design and build procedures

Requirements

Degree qualified in a construction related subject
Extensive experience within a design management role

Benefits

55-65,000 per annum – based upon experience
