Revit/AutoCAD Lighting Designer
Our client is an international, creative lighting designer, creating bespoke lighting designs within a large variety of projects. This role incorporates the duties of design and self-management of your own design. The company are looking for self-starters who are big thinkers.
Creativity is key within this team and the sky is the limit!
The role is primarily about the production of technical information for the company (CAD Drawings, Revit Outputs, Specifications, Fittings Books etc.) The role will also involve the development and production of modelling information for artificial and daylight predictions and extending the use of Revit as a design tool for the organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Production of Technical Specification Packages
* Assist with the preparation of Concept Information
* Verification of all technical/statutory scheme requirements
* Organise mock-up/sample review for each project
* Preparation of project cost information
* Software proficiency: – AutoCAD – Revit – Adobe Creative Suite – Scheduling Software – Dialux – Sketch-Up – Microsoft Office Suite – Working in both PC and Mac environments.
* Good knowledge and experience of Revit required
* Good knowledge and experience of AutoCad required
* Knowledge of lighting modelling/calculation software would be advantageous, or a willingness to learn.
* Provide support on other design software outputs (Creative Suite and Office).
* Take intellectual ownership of different tasks and the role.
* A precise, detailed and thoroughly checked design output.
* No client communications are envisaged – this is an internal role.
* Some industry communications (suppliers/manufacturers) may be required.
Salary – £30,000 – £36,000 Dependant on experience
Hours – 9.30am – 5.30pm
Location – Watford office with complete remote working available
Pension – 8% company contribution
Holiday – 25 days holiday + bank holiday
