Production Merchandiser
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £32000 – £35000/annum
What will I do?
.Manage capacity responsibly across the business ensuring that right product, right supplier.
· Building strong supplier relationships to support partnership approach
· Overseeing the Production Planning of our Key Suppliers.
· Managing the Production Critical path across allocated vendors.
· Proactively chase and follow-up with factories on status of orders
· Work with factories to follow-up on unconfirmed late and orders
· Factory schedules – checking to make sure all orders on and planned with correct dates.
· Plan fabric critical path with fabric team and giving details of cut dates to sales team.
· Inform factory to re-plan production and confirm delivery date following any fabric delivery date/ order detail change.
· Resolve purchase issues (researching, clarifying, and resolving issue). This includes working with Product Creation, Sales, Finance, Logistics etc
· Factory debits – checking to make sure deducted from invoices and should keep record what has been deducted from which invoices.
· Dealing with and managing daily e-mails and factory issues and suggesting solutions.
· Weekly production meeting with internal teams.
· Working closely with Sourcing Partners, Merchandising, Operations and Product Development team to maximise opportunities
· Contribute to creation of seasonal buy calendar and other dates relevant for Planning
· Improving process and efficiencies within our supply base
· Prepare reports for Operations, Product, Finance, and Management Team
What skills and qualities will I need?
Key skills:
· Over 3 years of experience of working in a similar role.
· Good understanding of garment manufacturing , production line management and raw material management.
· Understanding of Sports, and FMCG/Fashion Industry preferred
· Ability to work cross-functionally, liaising with peer groups across the business to drive efficiencies and results
· Ability to work within strict deadlines and able to be adaptive to changes
· Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment
· Excellent planning and organisation skills
· Flexible approach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fast pace growing business
· High level of proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
