Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £30k – £40k (DOE)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7.30/8.30 am till 3.30/4.30pm

Location: Sheffield S66

I am working with a client who is a specialist in unique products working with larger global blue chip companies who specialise in Tobacco, Paper, Adhesives and many more. They are currently undergoing an expansion with the opportunity to become a team leader/department manager within the next 6-12 months.

Duties

Assist the current design team with new and existing projects.
Production of detailed drawings.
Be able to provide relevant feedback and liaise with the Project Manager both verbally and through test documentation.Perform practical duties and assemble components for test purposes.
Occasional requirement to travel to overseas customer locations to carry out installations of designed and manufactured equipment.
Fault analysis
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic and willing to learn about their product range

Desirable but not essential

Experience of using Solidworks, AutoCAD, (training will be provided if necessary).
Experience in Fluid system pumps or similar (Would be an advantage however, training provided)
Genuine interest in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Ideal candidate would have previously carried out engineering duties either in an apprenticeship role, a professional role or in a recreational environment.
