Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £36000 – £46000/annum holiday pension

Our client, a busy city based digital graphics agency with a range or prestigious clients, due to strong growth they are expanding their senior design team with a senior front end developer.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, engaged individual, with a genuine passion for digital development in all its forms, and a desire to demonstrate and expand their abilities across a broad client portfolio, with an enthusiastic approach to problem-solving, and ample common sense!

They will naturally have an excellent understanding of digital design principles, UX and UI, and will ideally have served in a project lead role, managing one or more junior developers, liaising with internal/external project stakeholders, formulating and fulfilling technical specifications, prototyping, presenting and testing final, fully-developed executions; experience of all stages of project development would be extremely advantageous.

The successful candidate will be working closely with our Creative Director, along with a number of other internal and external parties to aid with comprehensive and accurate project scoping, ensure effective project management, and oversee hassle-free implementation. provide advice and guidance to other team members on best practice and suggested approaches and play an active role in the continuing development and expansion of our digital portfolio.

In addition to proficiency in a range of programming languages, excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills are of enormous benefit.

Responsibilities:

* Compilation of detailed website specifications, understanding complex requirements and suggestion of best practice solutions

* Design of websites varying in size and complexity, from simple ‘brochure sites’ through to complex listings and e-commerce platforms

* Communication of design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.

* Conceptualisation and creation graphics, animations and all other assets

* Presentation of initial design concepts and wireframes

* Coding proficiently using a variety of platforms and languages

* Working within different content management systems

* Implementation search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy

* Ensuring adherence to relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy

Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years agency experience (or similar).

* A relevant degree (Web Design and Development, Multimedia Design, Interactive Computing or Digital media) would be desirable, but not essential.

* Qualifications in any other design-related discipline would be a bonus.

* Expert-level proficiency in a wide range of programming languages and frameworks e.g. Angular, Ionic, HTML5 and CSS, PHP and JavaScript.

* An excellent understanding of a range of content management systems.

* An excellent understanding of search engine optimization principles.

* An excellent understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.

* Exceptional visual design skills, with a comprehensive understanding of both UX and UI (and an understanding of difference between them)!

* Awareness of international web protocols and accessibility standards.

* A genuine appetite and desire to keep up to date with latest trends, and a desire to continually improve and expand skillsets.

* A willingness and hunger to contribute actively to the direction of the agency’s digital exploits, driving innovation and taking a leading role in the expansion of the agency’s digital portfolio

* An ability to work across the agency group, profiling existing clients and identifying opportunities for digital expansion, or development of existing projects and initiatives in line with current developments and best practice

* Excellent communication skills

* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Salary – to £46000 DOE
