We are delighted to be working on a Finance Director position for a growing, award winning, sustainability focused, international architectural practice, based near Tower Bridge near the City of London. This is a pivotal role for them, overseeing the finances for the business
This is an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic and proactive Finance Director to oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive forward the practice's strategic planning and financial management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgets and ensuring that their Board of Partners and project leaders have access to accurate financial analysis. You will also prepare monthly project costs and profitability analysis and work with our project architects on a regular basis to maintain profitability throughout the project life-cycle.
As Finance Director, you will be responsible for contract negotiation, management reporting, ensuring legal compliance, overseeing investments and disbursements and forecasting, cash flow management, develop financial KPI's and supplier management.
On a day-to-day basis you will lead and inspire the Finance team; building on existing processes to create an exemplary finance function. As part of a small team, you will be hands on – no job will be too small!
The ideal candidate will work collaborative and will enjoy communicating at all levels, both within the practice and with their and consultants.
A keen eye for detail is essential and you will ensure the accurate output of the Finance team and also enjoy interrogating data and problem solving.
You will also have excellent financial leadership and decision making experience and will embrace change, bringing new ideas to the table and constantly thinking of ways to drive efficiencies and innovation.

An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is essential for this role.
Experience gained within an architectural, built or creative environment is highly desirable.
