Conrad Consulting is working alongside a reputable multi-disciplinary firm in Essex to recruit a highly ambitious Junior Architectural Technician.
This well-established Planning & Design consultancy have a large workload that spans across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Leisure & Heritage. With a bright outlook for the future, this firm are now looking for their next generation of talent and as such, a fantastic opportunity exists for a driven Architectural Technician in the earlier stages of their career to really accelerate their development.
We are looking for a Junior Architectural Technician with demonstrable industry experience to help provide surveying, technical, architectural, and presentational services associated with the development and use of land and buildings. You will join a small expert team that will provide you with all the support and guidance needed to fully succeed in the industry.
Junior Architectural Technician Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in the built environment of Architecture background
High competence with AutoCAD:
Creating existing and proposed floor plans, elevations and sections accurately;
Ability to use OS or topographical data to incorporate with the CAD drawing;
Able to use templates and comply with corporate standard operating procedures;
Google SketchUp/3D modelling:
Create 3D rendered versions of the CAD drawings.
Create mass and density 3D models
Understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, materials and the national space standards;
To ensure design proposals conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards;
Interest/experience in town planning/urban design;
Interest/experience in building surveying, including site visits for measuring and photographs to inform existing plan creation;
Creative mindset in plan creation and presentational skills;
A valid UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.The successful Junior Architectural Technician can expect to receive a salary starting around £23k as well as the following benefits:
