Senior Architectural Technologist
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £45000/annum
An amazing opportunity has arisen within the area of Birmingham for a Senior Architectural Technologist to work with an award winning practice listed in the AJ100.
The role:
Provide high quality technical drawings and supporting technical information in compliance with the Quality Management procedures.
* Where identified as Project Manager for a project, ensuring the efficient delivery of the technical
services identified in the project brief, to the agreed deadlines & within budget.
* Maintain a competent working knowledge of current and pending legislation affecting the production
of technical information and ensure compliant with relevant Building Regulations, Building Bulletins
and Health and Safety guidance in relation to managing projects.
* Manage the production of detailed design drawings, working drawings, schedules, and
specifications, 2D and 3D drawings in either CAD or BIM where relevant.
* Arrange project reviews to assist with resolving technical issues as they arise.
* Ensure clear understanding of Appointment Documents & Scope of Services.
* Notify the Directors of potential PI claims or issues that require their review.
* Assist with the mentoring of junior members of the technical team on all aspects of technical delivery
Skills and qualifications
Proven record of accomplishment of delivering multiple projects and "job running" skills.
* Particular interest and previous experience in working on 4-5 RIBA stages.
* Proficient with Revit (essential), AutoCAD (desirable) and an understanding of BIM protocols.
* Willingness to participate in design meetings and influence the design process.
* Ability to manage workload effectively, make clear decisions and meet tight deadlines.
* Evidence of building, maintaining and managing working relationships with .clients, contractors,
team members, colleagues and third parties.
* Membership of CIAT or working towards chartered status.
