ATA Recruitment are working with a leading global specialist in special purpose machinery manufacturing and bespoke machinery solutions, with depots, offices or agents in the UK, USA, The Middle East, Belgium, Germany, France, Singapore and China, the company is growing rapidly and are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will serve a key role within the team and be involved throughout the life cycle of a project.
Key responsibilities for a Mechanical Design Engineer will be:
To provide assembly and installation drawings using CAD software
To provide support to the electrical and production design engineers in matters relating to mechanical/structural design
To have the ability to support wider business activities, such as design, certification and production planning where required
Being involved in weekly progress meetings for projects being carried out.
Involved in site meetings with customers.
The Candidate:
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer would have:
AutoCad 2D experience
3D CAD experience Autodesk/Solidworks
Engineering Qualification
MS Office user
The ability to be a strong team player who communicates well with others
