Our client has an exciting opportunity for a full time Assistant Chef to join the team at our clients' country care home, offering specialist residential, dementia and nursing care.

Key duties for Assistant Chef include:
Preparing and cooking nutritious and varied meals to the standards set out in the client's catering policy.
Supervising and supporting our kitchen staff in their day to day work.
Assisting the Head Chef in planning meals and consulting with residents to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are met.
Preparing and cooking meals for the meals on wheels' service as appropriate.
Deputising for the Head Chef when necessary: assuming responsibility for ordering, checking in and controlling supplies.
About you:
Experience in a similar role in a restaurant, care home or other relevant environment.
Used to delivering exceptional quality food in high volumes.
Experience of management of a small kitchen team would be desirable.
Good understanding of health and safety and other current relevant legislation.
Holder of, or prepared to undertake, NVQ Level 2 in Food Production.
