We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to help build and lead our team successfully at this recently acquired and redeveloped Farm Touring and Camping Park.  This is an all year round, full time position.

My client ,a small touring and camping park which also has a bar/café and petting farm on site and is located on a stunning location within a 5min walk to Porthcothan beach in the middle of the Seven Bays between Newquay and Padstow.

Reporting to the Owners, we are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager who is hands on, has a can-do attitude and is inspired to drive our business forward in this thriving industry

Responsibilities: 

Taking full responsibility for, and supervising efficiently, all elements of the farm in line with current company policies and procedures.
Managing and controlling the bookings platform and ensuring all bookings are paid for and all T&C’s are met.
Being creative in new ways to bring revenue into the business with ideas and promotions for the off-peak season
Maintaining stock levels across the business with purchasing done efficiently and to budget
Oversee all areas of Health and Safety in all areas of the park ensuring regulations are followed
Produce and implement staff rotas to budget with all areas sufficiently staffed with staff absences being covered
Reporting of weekly staff hours for payroll and managing annual leave
A key focus area is ensuring our business delivers a high and consistent standard of customer service and excel in meeting our customer’s needs, discussing strategies or new ideas with the owners
Motivate and train the team in all areas including Health and Safety Inductions and all appropriate training
Explore competitor activity, market trends and new initiatives
Successful candidate: 

Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a must and senior level management of a similar size will be hugely advantageous
A passion for customer focus
Honest, professional, respectful and fair approach
A positive attitude with excellent communication and organisation skills
Prioritise your workload, anticipate change and implement recommendations
Inspiring and hands on leader with a great eye for detail
Keep an eye over customer feedback and make improvements where necessary
What we can offer: 

A yearly salary of £28,000 to £34,000 dependant on experience plus bonus
28 days holiday including bank holidays

We would need a 6 day a week commitment during peak season and in low season 5 days a week for this role.
