Assistant Pub Manager – Gastro Pub

Salary : £30000/annum Inclusive of tips
The Stag and Hounds, a people’s-favourite, independently owned gastro pub with a traditional twist, is looking for a talented Assistant Pub Manager to join our team in Binfield.
We have experienced recent growth, and we are excited to have you join our established pub so you can progress your career with us!
The ideal candidate will have previous relevant experience and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for customer management and the day-to-day operation of the establishment
Contributing to the overall achievement of business goals; ensuring consistent standards of service are maintained
Contributing to the profitability of the pub through the monitoring of revenue and budgets, management of the team, and maintaining effective cost controls
Creating an environment where the team is motivated & encouraged to maximise sales
Proactively encourage development and motivation for self and others.
Support the General Manager with all back office and administrative duties
Management of the health & safety policy and compliance processes.
Understanding of relevant H&S legislation and the implications on operation, specifically including HACCP & COSHH
Required Skills:
Passion for hospitality and a desire to work hands-on and with the team during service, and in particular during busiest shifts
Previous experience developing, implementing and maintaining company standards
Good command of the English Language and excellent communication skills
Exemplary people management skills
Able to deal with difficult situations and remain professional at all times
Courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service
Standards driven and detail-orientated with the ability to organise and plan ahead
Ability to lead, multi-task and make sound decisions in fast-paced environment
