ASSISTANT TRANSPORT PLANNER
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £22000 – £25000/annum
Bailey Employment Services Ltd are recruiting an Assistant Transport Planner for their highly reputable client based in Flixborough.
Working alongside the Senior Transport Planner you will plan for a team of drivers to include the companies own fleet of vehicles and fleet of dedicated sub-contractors and regular hauliers delivering steel and heavy products across the UK.
Duties:
* Assist with Planning, dispatching, routeing, and tracking of all deliveries
* Assist in Managing drivers
* Administrative support for transport operation
* Ensure vehicles comply to legal standards
* Liaise with dispatch and loading teams to ensure correct planning for deliveries
You must have:
* Knowledge of transport regulations
* Previous experience from within a similar role
* Own transport due to location of the site, essential
* Confident and positive telephone manner, outgoing personality
* Flexibility around start & finish times for rotating, 9 hour shifts, between 06:00 and 17:00, essential
* A good geographical knowledge of the UK road system an advantage
* A good understanding of Excel, Word, Office, essential
