Audit Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £50000 – £60000/annum
A well-established accountancy practice is recruiting for an Audit Manager to join the dynamic team at the firm’s Oxford office. This is a progressive, Top 100 firm with an enviable reputation with a varied and interesting portfolio of clients.
Within this role, your portfolio will consist of both new and more established clients and you will be encouraged to develop further revenue streams within it as well as helping to bring in new clients to the firm.
As Audit Manager your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting a number of Directors by managing a diverse portfolio of clients and often being their primary point of contact
* Building long lasting client relationships – develop and apply your technical and commercial knowledge to provide expert advice and exceed client expectations
* Responding to ad hoc client queries
* Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, on time and within budgets agreed with Directors
* Line manage junior staff, oversee their work and assist with their career development
* Manage own workload in a timely and efficient manner and assist with billing
To be a serious contender for this role, applicants will satisfy the following criteria:
* Be ACCA/ACA qualified with at least 1-2 years PQE in practice
* Have at least 6 years’ UK practice experience
* Previous experience of line management and supervision
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive approach, prepared to go the extra mile
* Strong IT skills, able to pick up new IT packages quickly & good working knowledge of systems such as Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks & Excel
* Have the desire to mentor and develop junior team members
