Are you a Performance Planning Engineer looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major Automotive manufacturer?
If so, Expleo have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest car manufacturers is currently recruiting for a Performance Planning Engineer, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. You will be responsible for delivery of whole vehicle CO2 or EV range targets and delivery of vehicle acceleration performance targets.
Responsibilities of the Performance Planning Engineer include:
* Performance Planning of Fuel Consumption (CO2), EV range and acceleration of new, and existing vehicles
* Benchmarking and target setting
* Simulation of fuel economy, range and acceleration performance
* Vehicle lifecycle management
* Project Management to include test planning at external facilities
The Performance Planning Engineer will have the following knowledge, skills & experience:
* Ideally Degree educated in Engineering / Physics, or relevant experience
* A background within automotive
* Proficient with Matlab
* Awareness of relevant legislation
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of powertrain development and fuel economy / EV Range simulation tools, would be an advantage
There may be a requirement to travel within the UK and Europe.
