Bakery Operative
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Bakery Operative based in Barnoldswick. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week.
Hours of work will be 6am-1pm Monday to Friday and 5am-10am on Saturdays.
The candidate’s salary will be dependent on level of experience, starting at £9.50 per hour upwards.
The main purpose of the role will be to produce a wide range of breads and other baked goods in the company’s artisan manner.
Role Requirements
Bakery experience.
Have a practical understanding of bread production and baking.
Basic understanding of mixing, scaling and baking processes from beginning to end.
Understanding of knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Understanding oven timings, temperatures and workings.
Role Responsibilities
To calculate quantities required of each product in accordance with the production schedule.
Production of breads, pies and confectionery in readiness for the following day.
Flexible to meet the demands of the business.
