We are currently seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our talented culinary team. As a Breakfast Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers start their day with a satisfying and memorable breakfast experience.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes, including eggs, pancakes, waffles, omelets, sandwiches, and other breakfast items, according to our café's recipes and standards.
* Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient breakfast service.
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Monitor and manage inventory of breakfast ingredients, ensuring freshness and availability.
* Collaborate with the café management team to develop new breakfast menu items and seasonal specials.
* Uphold high standards of quality, presentation, and taste in all breakfast dishes.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during food preparation and service.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or a similar role in a fast-paced breakfast-focused establishment.
* Knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
* Excellent culinary skills, including a strong understanding of flavour combinations and cooking methods.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently exceptional breakfast dishes.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Team player mentality with excellent communication skills.
* Creativity and the ability to contribute ideas for menu development.
* Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
