We have a brand new vacancy for a Buyer to join their site in the West Yorkshire area, this is not an opportunity to be missed!
Role Purpose:
Responsible for the sourcing of new products & suppliers, negotiating prices and developing buyers’ assistants to improve their knowledge and skills, supporting their development
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the stock ordering and control of stock levels
* Ensuring all suppliers are approved in key areas, giving sufficient competition and contingency
* Negotiate prices, terms of business
* Supplier review
* Source new suppliers
* Network through trade shows and other industry events
* Review & improve KPI’s
* Train and develop buying assistants
IDEAL REQUIREMENTS
* Knowledge of purchasing strategies
* Strong Knowledge of supply base
* knowledge of food purchasing
* Negotiation skills
* Onboarding new suppliers and managing stakeholders
