Love Brownies is a rapidly expanding chocolate brownie business based in Yorkshire with cafes and shops across the UK. We have an exciting new opportunity for capable and hardworking Café Assistants to join the team at our Brownie Barn.

The Brownie Barn will offer a new mouth-watering breakfast and lunch and early dinner menu, along with our award-winning brownies to ensure the Brownie Barn is a leading dining destination in the Dales. A place where people can enjoy fabulous refreshments, first-class accommodation and an experience that’s something special.

The ideal candidate will be oozing with energy and positivity and have excellent customer service skills – Love Brownies is about making people smile.

General responsibilities

Ensure an exceptionally high standard of customer service is delivered at all times – taking opportunities to go the extra mile to make customers smile.
Follows Love Brownies operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.

Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, and speciality beverages for customers.
Preparing and serving our food menu to customers.
Accurately recording customer order information.
Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers.
Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils and equipment.
Adherence to food safety procedures at all times.
Cleaning service and seating areas.
Receiving and distributing stock supplies.
Receiving and processing customer payments.
Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently as they arise.
Ensure a clean and tidy environment at all times.
Experience & skills

Proven experience in a customer service/hospitality role
Be well organised and motivated and must have a real passion for customer service.
Must work well under pressure with the ability to multi-task.
Be trustworthy and have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn.
Be willing to go that extra mile!

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Have the ability to identify and complete tasks to a high quality without direct supervision.
Good face to face communication skills – be positive and approachable.
Prioritisation and time management skills.
Team player qualities.
