Canteen Catering Assistant

Abacus Employment Services are recruiting for a Canteen Catering Assistant to join our Client on a TTP Basis.
Daily Duties
* Visit the Factory shop floor areas to take orders for both breakfast and lunch from your colleagues.
* Prepare the orders for the relevant breaks.
* Shopping for Stock every other day for fresh produce
* Control the stock of Milk which is delivered during the week, and request more/less as required.
* Cleaning – The washing up is shared between all canteen colleagues, as is the end of lunch clean down and floor mop. Work tops and cupboards must be cleaned/wiped down daily. The fridge must be washed out once per week and the freezer needs to be defrosted as required. Clean and replenish the coffee vending machine in the assembly area.
* Serving both hot and cold meals
* Taking weekly payments on a Friday
Basic Hours
08:00 to 13:45 Monday to Friday, a lunch break can be taken within this period. Shopping days will extend every other day by approximately 15 minutes on the days that you choose to shop.
Experience/Training
Our Catneen holds a 5 star food and hygiene rating, so previous catering experience would be an advantage. On-the-job training and a Level 1/Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety in Catering will be provided.
Pay
£10.07 per hour offered on a 12 week temp-to-perm contract. Following successful completion of the temp contract, you will be eligible for a Monthly Bonus Scheme, Pension Scheme and 33 days holiday.
