* Full time
* shifts are done on a rota including weekend work
* shifts are 7-3:30 or 11:30-7:30
Requirements:
* Strong communication skills;
* Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents;
* Experience in a similar environment.
* Basic food hygiene certificate
* Able to work as a team member
* Ability to work using own initiative
* Understanding of special dietary needs in relation to nutrition
* Flexible
* A kind and compassionate nature
* A willingness to learn
* Previous experience of working in a care setting
What does the role include?
* To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.
* employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment;
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications;
* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;
* Cook using fresh ingredients made from scratch
* Adhere to all service policies and procedures.
* Participate in staff meetings and in staff training where applicable.
* Ensuring food stored correctly
* To be professional and courteous at all times with clients, colleagues, external professionals, family members, and visitors to the home
