Care Home Cook
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £13 – £15/hour
Atrium Healthcare is seeking a cook with previous experience within a care home setting to support our client based in Driffield. The ideal candidate will have a drive and passion cooking nutritious and delicious meals for our clients' residents as well as leading a small kitchen team. We believe that great food is an essential part of residents' well-being, and as a cook you will play a vital role in ensuring they receive nutritious, appetising meals whilst meeting varying dietary requirements of residents.
The job role will entail the following tasks:
·Complete a food shop. (Site will confirm if needed)
·Planning a weekly hot food menu, to include a vegetarian/vegan option (must ask service users for opinions on meals they enjoy)
·Preparing delicious, high-quality food
·Listening and acting on feedback
·Kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
·Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
The ideal candidate will have the following:
·Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting (preferably in a care home, hospital, or senior living facility).
·Knowledge of nutrition and special dietary requirements for the elderly.
·Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
·Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
·Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of the residents.
·Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, as needed.
·Relevant culinary qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.

We are offering £13/p mon-fri and £15 on weekends
