What you’ll be doing…
Riverford is a successful e-commerce business, selling a diverse range of 100% organic food: from our iconic veg boxes, through to meat, dairy, delicious recipe boxes, and more. This role sits in the Commercial Team and reports into our Head of Trading.
The primary focus will be on producing and implementing fruit/veg box and fruit/veg “extras” range strategies to deliver against AOV, GM and GP per Drop objectives. Celebrating seasonality is at the heart of Riverford and you will be responsible for ensuring that both our boxes and fruit/veg extras ranges celebrate the seasons throughout the year. You will take complete ownership for the ongoing performance of the fruit/veg box and fruit/veg extras product ranges including range planning and pricing and overall promotion of the category to maximise sales and margin.
The remit spans input into forecasting and budgeting in line with the SIOP process, box fill planning to deliver gross margin targets, competitor positioning, NPD, range review and working with wider Commercial, Procurement and Production stakeholders to ensure our range remains fit for purpose
Requirements
* Prior experience in a retail or e-commerce Category Management role, ideally within the food industry and with experience managing fresh product
* Prior experience with financial budgeting and category forecasting
* A proven track record in delivering against stretching commercial KPIs
* Experience working across functions with multiple stakeholders to solve complex problems
* Strong analytical skills and highly numerate within a commercial environment
* Advanced Microsoft Excel
* Experience managing product launches, critical paths and projects
What are the hours? 40 hours a week. Monday – Friday. This is a 9 month maternity contract to start Jan 23
What are we paying? £40, 000 per annum
Location Mainly based at Wash Farm, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU, with some opportunity to work hybrid.
