Catering Assistant
Term time only, 25 hours per week
(Mon-Fri 10am –3pm in the first instance).
FTE salary Grade 7 £18,887, pro rata salary £11,429.
St Mary’s is a residential special school and college for children with a range of special educational needs, including speech, language and communication, autism and other associated difficulties.
The Catering assistant will work within a small, dedicated catering team responsible for preparing and serving meals, snacks and drinks to all pupils and students, taking account of special dietary needs and ensuring hygiene standards are met at all times.
You will need to hold Level 2 Food safety certificate (or currently working towards this qualification), be positive, kind and caring, with basic knowledge of care and support needs of pupils and students with special educational needs.
Relevant experience in a school or commercial kitchen would be desirable but is not essential.
