Catering Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team here at the Princess Theatre, part of the Ambassadors Theatre Group.

Our Bistros are small, busy restaurants offering pre-show meals and drinks in our largest UK theatres. Working across bar, table service and kitchen roles, this is a great job for enthusiastic and proactive people who enjoy working at a fast pace.

On a show night the Bistros open one or two hours before the show; our shifts are usually in the evenings and last around four hours making this a great part time role for people with other commitments during the day. You'll need to be happy working quickly; we want to guarantee our customers can have a great value, quality meal in the time available before the show starts, so unlike a restaurant that is open all day, we serve all our customers during a limited period of time.

Our venues host a wide range of events, including live performances, talks, films, meetings, weddings and conferences and our team offer the highest standards of customer service for our guests every step of the way. Whether it's a trip to the theatre, a special birthday party booking or a business event you'll make sure our customers have a great experience and want to come back.

This role is both fun and interesting, with opportunities to develop your skills by taking on more responsibility and challenging yourself to beat our sales targets. There are also opportunities to take training courses, move to roles in our Front of House team and progress to team leader and management level roles in our national and international network of venues.

Further information on the role and the skills you’ll need can be found in our full job description. To apply, please tell us about your skills and qualities that will help you succeed in the role. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

The Ambassador Theatre Group is a world leader in live entertainment; we operate venues, run major ticketing platforms and produce award-winning shows. We strive to be ambitious, passionate, smart and collaborative in everything we do.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and strive to provide a stage for everyone. Onstage and off, we hold ourselves accountable for nurturing an inclusive culture.

We are a Disability Confident Committed Employer, which means that we are taking action to ensure that people with disabilities and long-term health conditions feel supported, engaged and able to fulfil their potential in the workplace. We will offer an interview or recruitment event to disabled candidates who tell us they wish to participate in the scheme and who demonstrate in their application that they best meet the essential criteria for the role. Where we receive more applications than we are reasonably able to interview for any given role, we will retain applications for the next available interview opportunity wherever possible.

If you’d like to discuss accessibility prior to applying, please review our job description where you can find our contact details to request a confidential discussion
