This role sits within our education division – catering for students. Dedicated to providing high-quality, nutritious food for our younger generation, we're 100% committed to supporting a healthy diet. As Catering Manager, (term time + 3 weeks) you will be responsible for:

– Ensure succinct provision of a full service to the College as part of the Taylor Shaw brand.
– Managing staff.
– Controlling a tight budget.
– Attending training courses, as required
– Stock auditing.
– Ordering.
– Ensure support provided to schools as there will be a requirement to support some evening and weekend activities.

As Catering Manager at Elior/Taylor Shaw, you will be responsible for COSHH, food safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies, and duty of care to customers and colleagues. You will need superb communication skills to lead a busy catering team, and pride in your work is a must. Your hard work will provide a platform for operational excellence, and it will not go unrecognised!
Profile: To apply for the role of Catering Manager, you will need the following essential skills and experience:

– The Individual will need to be fully qualified 706/2 or equivalent.
– L3 Food safety/Health Safety desirable
– Previous experience in the Education Sector is desirable
– Must have excellent cooking skills in both presentation and taste.
– You will also be IT proficient.
– You must be a self-motivated individual who works well unsupervised.
– You must have excellent people management skills and be able to motivate your team.
– Understand School Food Trust Guidelines on Nutrition.
– Be proactive and ensure innovation through team and service.
– You must be an excellent communicator and in order to build relationships with customers and clients alike.
– Demonstrates confidence with a ‘Can do' attitude.
– 2 years of experience as a Catering Manager/Head Chef is desirable
