Urgently required – Immediate start available – Catering Manager – Tiverton, Devon.
TQR is recruiting on behalf of a successful manufacturing business in Tiverton, Devon, for the role of Catering Manager within its staff canteen.
This role is offered initially on a temporary basis, although a permanent role for the right person may follow.
We are looking for people who are available at short notice, with current/recent relevant experience.
What you'll be doing…
Leading a small team of catering assistants in a busy workplace canteen, overseeing the day-to-day operations including:
* menu planning
* cooking of hot meals
* preparation of buffets and vending consumables such as sandwiches
* stock purchase and control
* handling cash
* general administration
About you…
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and motivational skills, the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff, be resilient with a calm approach to deal with day-to-day challenges and able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Essential Skills…
* Previous experience managing a canteen or food service
* Strong Leadership and communication skills
* Level 3 award in Supervising Food Safety and Hygiene
* Understanding of the fundamental Health and Safety requirements
* Experience with budgeting and financial management
