Catering Porter

Our client, a prestigious educational institution in Leatherhead are looking for a full time Catering Porter to work within their busy catering department during term time only.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Previous experience is not essential as training is provided. An awareness of the importance of health and safety in the workplace is essential.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The hourly rate of pay for the role will be £11.97 per hour with effect from 1 September 2023, paid monthly pro rata over the year. There is an annual review on 1 September each year. Hours of work are on a shift rota to include morning, mid, late shifts – Monday to Friday (with the occasional weekend working), 40 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (term time) inclusive of unpaid breaks. There is a probationary period of six months and the appointment is subject to satisfactory references and clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Staff are permitted to use the facilities on site (such as the swimming pool, tennis courts and Library) at times which do not conflict with the School’s requirements and within the School rules. Lunch is provided during term time
