Catering Supervisor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £20000 – £23000/annum
Our Client is located in the beautiful Surrey Hills, around Dorking within a venue for Special Events, Conferences and Weddings, the client is actively looking to recruit a Catering Supervisor.
The Catering Supervisor will aim to assist the Catering Management Team in ensuring a smooth operation of the Servery and Function Services.
Responsibilities include:
* To provide support for the Management Team and help control expenditure for food costs and wages as stipulated in the budget.
* Implement and monitor the company’s cleaning policy/rota.
* Ensure that all public areas are constantly maintained in a clean, presentable and welcoming manner at all times
* Maintain a high level of communication with other departmental heads within the Catering Dept.
* Ensure the subordinate staff understands their job roles, responsibilities and performance expectation.
* Give timely constructive feedback on work related concerns and issues to ensure satisfaction and productivity to the catering team.
* To ensure that all staff adhere to the Customer Care policy
* Maintain a high level of staff performance through regular monitoring and plan
* Ensure that all new staff are given relevant training and induction
* To maintain good working relationships with all departments through good communication and co-operation.
* Ensure that all tasks and breaks are distributed evenly and fairly with the needs of the department/customer given priority.
* To ensure that the staff complete the opening and close down procedures to the required standard.
* To ensure all Company procedures are carried out & maintained to the highest standard
* To report any faults on equipment to either the manager or relevant service repair contractor as soon as possible.
* Ensure that regular stock taking is performed and reported
* To do the necessary end of shift security checks and to ensure that no visitors remain in the Restaurant area.
* Check customers’ identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
* Customer Service – Being a source of information as well as providing as high standard of service.
This is a full-time position, with the salary depending on experience, could earn up to £23,000 per annum.
