Certification Engineer – Electrical

My client is a UKCAA Part 21J DOA. They are a world-class strategic partner for Fixed-wing and Rotorcraft Operators, OEMS, Integrators, VIP and Utility companies globally.
They are looking for an experienced Electrical Certification Engineer to join their team in Port Talbot.
Purpose of Role and Summary of Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role as Electrical Certification Engineer is to provide the Head of Engineering/Electrical Engineering team a high level of support with the electrical substantiation of aircraft interior and system installations.
You will take responsibility to:
1. Compile electrical documents (electrical load analysis, aircraft/system/equipment level safety assessments, grounding and bonding analysis & EWIS) to meet aircraft industry requirements, budget, and project schedules.
2. Compile electrical/electromagnetic/functional test plans and reports in accordance with regulations and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) requirements.
3. Support Engineering in compiling design reports, compliance reports.
4. Support on and off site electrical and environmental test programmes.

Key Attributes – Desirable
Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (preferably in Aerospace)
Experienced in writing specifications, substantiation analysis and assessments, plans and reports.
Self-starter, well organised, used to working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to work to the highest quality and accuracy to achieve established goals in timely manner.
Effective and confident communicator.
Ability to work independently to Company procedures and with minimal supervision.
Flexible and committed to own personal development and that of the business in whatever capacity is required (subject to skills and experience).
Ability to travel as required
