We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team at a prestigious Nursing Home located in Waterlooville. This part-time role offers flexibility, with two days per week, translating to 24 hours. The hourly rate for this position is £11.50, which amounts to £276 per week or £14,352 per year. You will have the opportunity to create nutritious and delectable meals for our residents, contributing to their overall well-being and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare well-balanced meals, considering residents' dietary requirements and preferences. Ensure high-quality and delicious meals while accommodating specific dietary restrictions and food allergies.
Cooking and Presentation: Exhibit culinary skill in cooking and presenting meals attractively. Ensure portion control and serve meals at the appropriate temperature, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain food inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring freshness. Place timely orders for required ingredients and supplies.
Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records of temperatures, cleaning schedules, and other necessary documentation.
Teamwork: Collaborate with the care team to meet dietary needs and schedule meals according to residents' routines. Communicate effectively with colleagues and residents, addressing any concerns or special requests.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions for elderly individuals.
Passion for cooking and creating appealing, nutritious meals.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively
