Salary : £12.50 – £15/annum

Aligra is recruiting for experienced Chefs on behalf of our client based in Lincoln. As a Chef, your primary responsibility will be to provide and carry out catering services in accordance with all relevant regulations, legislation, and guidelines. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the delivery of varied and healthy menus for residents to include special diets, special events and religious events, whilst also keeping abreast of trends and developments in the catering industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in delivering catering services and ensuring compliance with catering standards.
* To lead the catering provision in the absence of the Catering Manager.
* Ensure strict compliance with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations.
* Maintain the security and food safety of all foodstuffs during delivery, storage, and distribution within the establishment.
* Prepare and cook varied and healthy menus for Service Users, catering for special dietary requirements and religious events.
* Maintain accurate documentation to comply with food hygiene regulations, HACCP, COSHH, and company policies.
Shifts & Pay:
4 on 4 off, 07:30-19:30 or 08:00-20:00
£12.50 per hour
Requirements:
* Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook applications
* Basic understanding of risk and conflict management
* Experience in a Chef role and demonstrable experience of leading a catering team
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Previous experience in large-scale catering
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Food Preparation and Production
* Food Hygiene Level 2
* Awareness of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
* Awareness of allergen control within catering
