Chef

Salary : £18000 – £20000/annum
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join our catering team. The main job role will be to provide wholesome food for our students using delicious fresh produce and you will also be jointly responsible for the organisation, preparation and cooking of meals to create dishes with modified textures for those with special diets. The rota will include a combination of 7am-3pm and 11.45am-7.45pm shifts through Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or NVQ/QCF Professional Cookery level 1 & 2 and have experience in a commercial catering environment. All candidates will need to be able to work as part of a team and should possess excellent communication skills. It would be advantageous to have experience of complex diets, but training will be provided for the best candidate.
The salary for term time (39 weeks) only working is £18,114 per annum and you have the option to work 3 additional weeks in the school/college holiday for an extra payment of £1,811 taking the total remuneration up to £19,925 per annum.
