Chef
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £1 – £23000/annum
Mainstay Recruitment Solutions are currently working with a client based in Uttoxeter who are currently on the lookout for a Chef to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
The role will involve:
* Assisting the catering & retail manager and Chef supervisor in the delivery of catering services to the whole establishment that complies with all the relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Regulations, legislation and guidelines.
* To provide healthy and varied menu’s for residents and cater for special diets, special events and religious events.
* To record and document all relevant paperwork to comply with food hygiene regulations.
* Proving training and supervision to all kitchen workers.
* Perform random quality checks on services before, during and after meal times.
* Reacting to complaint issues and trends.
* Working shift work and weekends when operationally required.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
* Good working knowledge of a large catering operation, ideally with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
* City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ or similar in Food preparation and production.
* Food safety level 3.
* Awareness of Hazard Analysis and Critical Point (HACCP).
* Awareness of Allergen Control within catering.
