Are you an experienced chef looking for a full time role within Openshaw, M11, Manchester.

TSA have an exciting opportunity to work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday at a college.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As a chef you will take day to day responsibility for all chef related duties. As a chef you will be, delivering a professional & safe service supporting the kitchen team. You will be responsible for the very high standard of cleanliness of kitchens across the sites / area’s you are assigned. You will be expected to cover holidays and sickness within the team. You will have the ability to work to targets and under pressure to achieve set outcomes in given time frames. The start & finish times may be varied to accommodate the needs of the business.

Ideal candidates:

Must have previous experience as chef/cook/catering manager
Previous experience in a school/college is ideal
Level 2 food hygiene
Enhanced DBS Duties:Main duties but not limited to:

Assist with the preparation of pupil’s meals
Ensure all health and safety measures have been met
Be responsible for cleaning and kitchen facilities
To ensure correct stock rotation on all sections, fridges, freezers, and dry store
Other ad hoc duties as required
Pay rate: £13.00 to £14.57 per hour. 

The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of all company policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the domestic services.
The above duties may involve having access to information of a confidential nature, which may be covered by the Data Protection Act. Confidentiality must be always maintained.
The post holder must be flexible to ensure the operational needs of the business are met. This includes the undertaking of duties of a similar nature and responsibility as and when required, throughout the various workplaces on site.
