Chef
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £14/hour
Are you passionate about food, creating culinary delights using fresh ingredients? This is your opportunity to work in a fast-paced role for a local education establishment on a part time, temporary basis, near Colwyn Bay North Wales.
You will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking fresh food items to work within a specific menu cycle, including catering functions
Following recipes, and adjusting accordingly to appropriate quantities
Maintaining high food quality standards, and adhere to nutritional guidance
Assisting with stock control, stock ordering, receive deliveries of goods, and store correctly
Running a full section of the service, and assisting other sections as required
Cleaning and maintaining any equipment, utensils or areas used during working shift
Maintaining catering records and documentation as required
Attending training as provided as part of the role
Meeting time deadlines as part of a daily meals provision service
Providing input towards menu planning
We would love to see your CV if you have:
Previous demonstrable experience as a Chef
The ability to process menus ,stock orders and delivery notes, and other written instructions
An understanding of Food Hygiene practices and Haccp
Good Timekeeping
Ability to work well under pressure and unsupervised
Good communication skills, to be able to communicate verbally and effectively within the team and service users
Flexible approach to work, including willingness to change shift pattern to cover for absences, or as required
Able to work within a team
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and professionally develop
Subject to DBS certificate
This is a temporary position with an ASAP start on a week by week basis. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08.00am to 15.00pm. The pay rate is up to £14.00 per hour plus holiday pay depending on skills and experience.
