Pertemps Isle of Wight are looking to recruit for a Chef to join our client based in Newport on a full time, temporary basis.

Duties to include, but will not be limited to:
– Preparation & and cooking of meals and menu items including special diets.
– Ensure that all dishes are properly cooked and attractively presented, advise and assist with service as required.
– Undertaking food preparation and service in the restaurant areas.
– Working at all times in a clean & tidy manner ensuring strict adherence to food hygiene and safety regulations.
– Practice good levels of stock rotation and the correct storage of all perishable items.
– To be trained in the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment to a proficient level and observe the safe, correct use and care of equipment.
– Ensure that all working areas and equipment are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
– Reporting any defects & maintenance issues.
– Ensuring that the site's procedures are maintained and that policies are always adhered to.

Successful applicants are required to have previous experience as a chef or an NVQ equivalentL2 Food Safety Award.

The role will be working 40 hours over 5 days, Monday – Sunday with 2 days off.
