Our client prides themselves on putting residents’ needs and feelings first throughout their homes with a dedicated team of care staff. The homes provide independence, choice and individuality within a loving, home from home environment.
The Home
This modern and spacious care home for the elderly is situated in the quiet village of Melbourn. The home provides person centred care services for older people and those with dementia with fantastic facilities including a built in cinema, a salon, library, dedicated games room and communal lounges.
The Role
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Chef with a caring nature and a genuine interest in cooking for the elderly for a role within an elderly nursing home, ensuring that high standards are achieved in all areas at all times.
Duties will include preparation of fresh, varied, nutritious and appetising meals for the service users, taking account of any special dietary needs, menu planning, stock control, ensuring the kitchen, services and equipment are kept clean, maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for service users.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and retaining records for inspection purposes and other ad hoc duties that may be required. A proven knowledge of COSHH and food hygiene standards is essential for this post. Successful applicant will be required to provide an enhanced disclosure.
