An exciting opportunity has arisen for An Experienced Chef to work for our well-established client based in Loughborough.
Pay for a Chef
* £14.22
Hours:
* Monday – Friday
* 37.5 hours per week
.
Core Responsibilities:
* To ensure that a comprehensive menu for families, children and staff is prepared.
* To liaise with the care team staff and parents regarding special diets.
* To maintain the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) management system in place.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
* To maintain all kitchen equipment in a clean and safe manner, reporting any issues/incidents to the catering manager.
* To be responsible for advance preparation of menus and food to cover annual leave day/days off and sickness and arrange suitable cover.
* To provide buffet food for meetings and conferences as required.
* To maintain five-star food hygiene rating.
* To maintain good working relationship with all local suppliers ensuring value for money ordering is maximised.
* To ensure all adequate stocks of food are maintained.
* To ensure that food stocks are strictly rotated to avoid any produce becoming out of date and needing to be discarded.
* Ahere to strict housekeeping rules.
* To maintain weekly records of ordering and delivery of goods.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
* Able to work on own initiative and work well in a team.
* Comfortable in a hospital/clinical environment.
