The Opportunity:
Looking for that perfect work / life balance whilst working with fresh locally sourced produce? Our client is seeking a permanent chef who can work in this fresh food kitchen.
Predominantly straight daytime shift, then a few evening shifts a month
• Working for an independent owner who has created a warm, friendly fresh food café serving breakfasts, light lunches, and afternoon teas.
• This busy café can do a lot of covers in the height of summer, being quite seasonal the numbers in winter the numbers tend to be less, so we need a chef that is self – motivated and proactive especially in the quieter months.
The Person:
* Passionate about food and enjoy cooking
* Good time-management
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work with a team
* Have experience as a Chef
* Taking responsibility for a section in the kitchen
* Understanding of Food Safety and Hygiene
* A chef that is organised, loyal and can manage a busy service
* A professional approach, calm under pressure and a can do attitude is essential
* Your own transport strongly advised due to location of the unit
