Permanent position – 35 to 40 hours per week
About the home:
This beautiful, friendly, homely Care Home, based in Farnham (GU10)is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to cater for 25-30 residents and staff.
Main responsibilities of a Chef/Cook Home-made cooking with fresh vegetables cooked every day, plus breakfast and suppers to a high standard required, nutritious food.
Experienced in Stock Control, Budget Monitoring & Environmental Health Requirements
Ability to manage the small catering team
Good knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Infection Control
Ability to cater up to 25-30 residents and staff per day, offering excellent cuisine including soft meals and special dietary requirements.
Ability to assist to plan, design and update menus for the home.
Ability to adhere to the homes policies and procedures and make sure the team are as well.
Ensuring the Kitchen is kept in good working order at all times – ensuring Health and safety and Food Hygiene standards within the kitchen are adhered too.
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements for Chef/Cook:
Previous experience in a care home or hospital or school is desirable.
Ideally will have an up to date Food Hygiene Certificate/COSHH Awareness
