Chef-Cook
Job Type : Temporary, Full Time
Salary : £11 – £12/hour
We are looking for a professional Cook-Chef for 6 weeks minimum contract position within a well-respected establishment very close to Luton.
working hours are 12pm-6pm Monday to Friday
Salary is between £11-£12p/h
The successful candidate will primarily work alongside and support the Head Chef in the general running of the kitchen. You will need to have great leadership and cooking skill and successfully manage the team of chefs in cooking and preparing meals, including checking food quality and overseeing cooking techniques.
You will work 5 days a week
Key responsibilities:
* To ensure that legal and company requirements are adhered to in respect of Hygiene, Health & Safety, Employment Law, and Food Safety Law for all staff and customers
* Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards, as well as to clients’ requirements
* Designing and helping the catering manager to create food and drink menus
* Deputising for manager in their absence
* Ordering supplies and negotiating with suppliers
* Managing inventory and keeping control of stock
* Supervising all food preparation
