Our client is seeking an enthusiastic chef to work as Chef de Partie in the team of 5 chefs + 2 kitchen porters. The fantastic privately owned boutique hotel and restaurant is located on the outskirts of Tiverton in Devon and has a great reputation for food and service.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for food and service, be experienced in a fast paced kitchen and will have previously worked in a quality dining pub or restaurant. The menu features modern British and European style dishes made from fresh locally sourced ingredient. A good all-rounder will be perfect for the role.
You will work a mixture of straight and split shifts, including weekends approximately 45 hours per week. You should be outgoing and approachable with the experience of cooking in a busy, high pressured kitchen.
You will work closely in the team, learning how to managing stocks, gp`s along and plan menus. This is an ideal opportunity for a junior Chef looking for the next step in their career or a chef de partie looking for a fresh start.
AA 1 Rosette experience prefered but not essential, Salary £27,000-£30,000 NEG, Excellent Tips (£3K per year), Own transport (an advantage for days off), Comfortable self contained accommodation (Bedroom/En-suite/Kitchenette/Spare Room.
