The role:
* Support in the efficient smooth running of the kitchen
* Support the training and general day to day tasks of other kitchen employees to perform their roles to a high standard
* Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to the required high standards at all times
* Ensure high quality standards are met at all times in alignment with health, safety & hygiene regulations
* Ensure that all equipment used is in safe working order & checked regularly
* Report any faults to management, ensure they are rectified and ensure equipment is not used until safe
* Ensure correct stock rotation and ordering is upheld to control waste
* Action customer complaints and resolve satisfactorily
* Assist in the identification for opportunities for growth within the business
* Support in the maintenance of good relationships and communicate with suppliers.
* Attend to and take all necessary action, statutory or otherwise, in the event of incidents or accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate
* Comply with any reasonable instruction from your manager within the agreed deadlines
* Take responsibility of all kitchen in absence of the Head Chef
Skills and experience:
* 2 years experience working as a Chef
* Experience cooking with fresh produce
