We are currently looking for 2 Chef de Partie to Support the Chef/Catering Manager to provide a first-class customer experience by delivering a high-quality food service to our residents living within our Independent Living schemes in Bedford. The service is provided 7 days a week, therefore flexibility is required in covering shifts and some weekend working will be expected.
What you will be doing:
* Produce a choice of high-quality food that is nutritional and value for money to the residents, visitors and guests across Independent Living
* Support Chef/Catering Manager to ensure all kitchen equipment is regularly checked, serviced and maintainedin accordance with H&S regulations, policies and procedures.
* Ensure food safety practices are followed in the preparation and serving of food and drink
* Take action to minimise wastage at all stages of food production, implementing controls, keeping records and making reports as required
We’d love to meet someone with:
* Experience of working in a commercial kitchen
* Good working knowledge of Food Safety legislation and health and safety procedures
* A passion for producing high quality food and food service
* Knowledge of handling and operation of catering equipment
